The Wizards are quietly impressed with what they have seen out of Andray Blatche this summer.
While Blatche hasn't been able to do anything on the floor after breaking his left foot and few expect that he'll be 100 percent by the time training camp starts at the end of this month, Blatche has continued to work on his body, doing everything he possibly can to stay in shape.
"It's been a pleasant surprise to see him making the real commitment that he's made this summer, especially with what happened with the foot," team president Ernie Grunfeld said. Greece beats China 89-81 at basketball worlds (AP)
Nikolaos Zisis and Ioannis Bourousis both scored 21 points to lead Greece to an 89-81 victory over China in the opening Group C game at the world basketball championship on Saturday. Greece led 47-37 at halftime, but China, playing without Houston Rockets center Yao Ming who is recovering from surgery on his left foot, got within 81-79 before Greece retook control in the final minutes.
